Submission Guidelines
- No initial letter or phone call is necessary.
- Manuscripts submitted as hard copy should be typed in 12 point and double-spaced. Please don’t send work in 11 point typeface or with 1.5 line spacing, hoping we won’t notice.
- Fees are based on 350 words per page for books and 250 words per page for film scripts.
- Please ensure pages are numbered and include a word count. Include your name, address and phone number.
- We accept manuscripts submitted via email. A small charge of 10p per page is made to cover printing costs.
- Include a brief letter detailing any specific questions about your manuscript.
- We recommend sending manuscripts by recorded delivery rather than first class post.
- Remember to include a stamped addressed Jiffy Bag for return of your manuscript. As our readers' reports can be up to 10 pages long, please remember to add an additional 50p to the original cost of your postage.
- Our fast-track service ensures feedback within 14 days or less. Please contact us to discuss availability.
- Unfortunately, we cannot accept work sent on disk.
- We regret that manuscripts submitted without the correct fee will incur an additional £15 administration charge due to the time-consuming nature of chasing late payments.
- Payments are made in advance with cheques, postal orders, BACS, or Paypal. Cheques and postal orders are payable to Oxford Literary Consultancy.
