Tuition & Mentoring

Tuition and mentoring are invaluable to your progress as a writer. Both services offer a high level of individual supervision and can be tailored to your own needs and requirements. You will have the undivided attention of a professional writer to discuss your own work. Our aim is to be supportive and encouraging, as well as honest. Tuition and mentoring are usually held in our consultants' homes. However, they can also be arranged via telephone or email.

Tuition

Creative writing tuition is held as a series of one-hour tutorials. The tutorials provide a mixture of formal teaching and informal discussion of your writing. This can be a memorable and satisfying experience in which you have ample opportunity to discuss your progress and build a rapport with your tutor. Working closely with a professional writer can be very inspiring and provide a sounding board for new ideas.

Mentoring

Writers, both published and unpublished, benefit from mentoring with another writer. You may wish to discuss textual problems with your manuscript or to get feedback before sending your work to an agent. You may want to brainstorm plot issues. Or maybe you would just like to discuss the day-to-day process of writing with someone who has an understanding of your craft.

Tuition and mentoring are priced on an hourly basis, although a reduced rate is offered for block-bookings of 5 sessions or more.
