

Daniel Blythe
Daniel is the author of 20 published books for adults, teenagers and children, including Shadow Runners and three of the official Doctor Who novels. His literary novels The Cut, Losing Faith and This is the Day are published by Penguin and Allison & Busby. Daniel was an Associate Lecturer on Sheffield Hallam University's Creative Writing MA for three years and he now leads writing workshops for children and young people (over 300 in schools since 2010). He’s also written five short books for reluctant readers, published by Badger Learning. He specialises in YA and children's fiction, SF, fantasy and general fiction.

Antonia Prescott
Antonia is a children’s book editor with experience in all genres: fiction, non-fiction, poetry and picture books. She worked for nearly 10 years as an editor for the busy children’s publishing department at Francis Lincoln Ltd where she was responsible for a number of new titles. She liaised with authors, illustrators and designers ensuring editorial standards were of the highest quality.

Lesley Jones
Lesley is a qualified SfEP copy-editor and proofreader who has worked for large publishing houses, including Pan Macmillan. Always sensitive to the varied styles of different authors, she’s been commissioned to work on books by both brand-name commercial authors and literary stars (among them a Pulitzer-winner).
She has also edited books for Mills & Boon and Harlequin.

Kim Kimber
Kim is a professional proofreader and editor, specialising in non-fiction, autobiography and business titles. She has experience across a range of publications and websites, working for publishing houses and private business. She worked for six years as sub-editor, features manager, and then editor of Step-Ahead parenting magazine (circulation 50,000). She’s worked for clients including Apex Publishing, Ten Alps Media, Estuary Publishing and East Anglia Media. Her freelance portfolio includes journalism for: Camping Magazines, Wildlife and Countryside, The Daily Mail and Best. She’s been trained by Chapterhouse and is an Advanced Professional Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP).Â

Diane Parkin
Diane has a wealth of experience editing trade magazines, classroom resources, text books and non-fiction books. She has been writing for commercial magazines, newspapers and BBC radio since 1985.
She’s written for publications including: Antiques & Collectables, BBC History Magazine, Bella, Chat, Country, My Weekly, Outdoor Pursuits, RSPB Birds Magazine, Take a Break, that's life!, The Guardian, The Lady, Woman's Own and Woman's Weekly.
Amber Hatch
Amber started her writing career as a novelist and short story writer, and honed her craft during her MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University where she received a distinction. After she had children, she turned to non-fiction and wrote Nappy-Free Baby, published by Vermilion.

Michael Hughes
Michael Hughes is a fiction writer and screenwriter. As a founder member of Cousins Pictures, Michael Hughes produced a number of award-winning films, and subsequently worked for several years as a script analyst for Miramax Films. He has recently competed a PhD in Creative Writing at London Metropolitan University, where he also teaches.

Paul Harrison
Paul is the published author of 33 books, mainly crime related, and has also ghost-written several books. With a background in policing and psychological profiling, (he was one of the first British police officers to work with the legendary FBI Psychological Profiling Unit) he is the man behind the creation of many of the popular television detectives and often works as a television police and crime consultant. He also has a Masters Degree in Criminology.

Penelope Price
Penny has worked with high-profile authors and licence holders on a wide variety of books. Publishers she has worked with include Pan Macmillan, HarperCollins, Headline and Chicken House and Parragon Books. Titles have included commercial fiction, narrative non-fiction, SF/fantasy, YA fiction, and illustrated children’s fiction. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University.
